Work for Pupils at Home
Below is some online work to complete at home each day. We will be adding to this and updating this page regularly. There will be information about live lessons to join and links shared to live zoom lessons on Class Dojo. Look out for them!
English Text this week - We are now in the next 3 week cycle for our writing lessons in English. Over the next 3 weeks we will be building up to writing a Biography about Roald Dahl.
Groups - Where the work is split into two groups, please complete group 1's work unless you have received a message on Class Dojo asking you to complete group 2's work. You do not need to complete both sets of work.
Reading - Make sure you are also reading everyday and practising your times tables and spellings. There will continue to be tests on these each week. If you run out of books at home Oxford Reading Tree are currently providing free online books to read click here: https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/for-home/find-a-book/library-page/?view=image&query=&type=book&age_group=Age+7-9&level=&level_select=&book_type=&series=#
Callum's PE Timetable - Here is a weekly timetable for keeping active during lockdown. There are three activities each day, one for just after breakfast, after lunch and after home school, choose when or how many you want to do work with your family. These are key times of the day to get active in and around your other learning. It's a fact that exercising before learning improves how well you learn.
In addition, there's also three challenges per week, on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon. If you want to, record yourself doing the challenge and we will be giving out some prizes, so you may win. Please see on the link how to enter.
More French - Here are some French games if you want some fun French activities: https://www.languageangels.com/schools/ Go to Login (top right) Go to Login Pupil Games Username: sirroberthitcham Password:sirroberthitcham

Conditionals with cards Remember to type your code SVJFGB the login in with you secret words, so I can see your work. This week we are looking at how conditionals can be used to program specific information. You don’t always have all of the information you need when writing a program. Sometimes you will want to do something different in one situation than in another, even if you don't know what situation will be true when your code runs. That is where conditionals come in. Conditionals allow a computer to make a decision, based on the information that is true any time your code is run. |
