Welcome to Year 4's page. Please find outlined work for your child to do at home. Your child also has a folder containing some work and an exercise book.

Please don't do the work all at once! There will be a daily plan below to signpost you to the work to be covered.

We have been talking as a class about the other things that we could do while at home, including the importance of physical exercise. The children came up with lots of ideas, including:

  • arts and crafts activities
  • going for a walk
  • junk modelling
  • cooking
  • gardening
  • making an obstacle course
  • playing board games
  • researching an area that interests them
  • up-cycling items and reusing them
  • even tidying bedrooms!

Please use the link to find further ideas and encourage your child to complete some of these regularly.Practical Ideas

We are also encouraging children to read regularly and talk about what they have read.In class, we have been using 'Word of the Day' to improve children's vocabulary. Please use the link to the Powerpoint so the children can continue these activities:Word of the Day
