SEND

Sir Robert Hitcham CEVA Primary School is an all-inclusive School that welcomes children from all backgrounds and with any ability. We believe that all children have a common entitlement to a broad and balanced academic and social curriculum that is readily accessible to them, and they will be fully included in all aspects of school life.

It is accepted that many children will experience some form of difficulty at some time in their education. It is hoped the majority of children’s needs will be met through high quality classroom teaching. Support also may be given through intensive small group work or one to one support.

A child requiring support that is additional to or different to that normally provided will usually have an individual support plan which is reviewed with parents each term.

For a small number of children, specialist support from outside agencies may be required, such as an educational psychologist. On these occasions, parents will always be informed in advance and have the opportunity to meet and raise any concerns or questions.

The School’s Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) is Miss Jo Squirrell and Miss Squirrell can be contacted via the School Office if you have any questions.
