Wraparound Care
We are pleased to announce that our wraparound care provision is up and running and available to all pupils in Reception to Year 6. We can now offer a daily Before School Club and a daily After School Club. Please find answers to some frequently asked questions about our wraparound care.
What time do the Clubs run?
Before School Club runs from 7:50am until the start of school each day. Your child can arrive any time between 7:50am and 8:30am.
After School Club runs from the end of school until 5:30pm. You can book your child into the:
- early session from 3.15pm to 4.30pm; or
- full session from 3.15pm to 5.30pm.Collection can be any time before 5:30pm.
Can I use the Government’s Tax Free Childcare account to pay?
Yes!
Sir Robert Hitcham CEVAP School is signed up to the Government’s Tax-Free Childcare Scheme and can accept payment for Wraparound Care with Tax-Free Childcare vouchers.
Please contact the School Office if you would like to pay for Wraparound Care with Tax-Free Childcare vouchers, so that your account can be set up in Arbor.
Will my child be hungry?
Absolutely not!
At the end of school, the children are offered fruit, vegetables and squash. This is available throughout the Club. At 4:45pm, a hot snack is provided – a mini pizza, beans on toast, scrambled egg with bagel.
What can my child do during the Club?
Each day there is a choice of activities. For example, on Monday, the children have the choice of attending the Multisports Club or remaining in the School Hall for movement club. This includes getting the climbing equipment out. If your child does not want to do either of these, there is a choice of colouring, listening to music and puzzles available. These activities change daily, however, there are always two adult-led activities available and three independent – but supervised – activities available.
How do I register my child for wraparound care?
All you need to do is complete a Wraparound Care Registration Form and sign the Wraparound Care Terms and Conditions documents and return to the School Office. Both these forms are available on the school’s website or from the School Office.
How do I book for my child to attend wraparound care?
You can book and pay for your child’s attendance on Arbor. Your account does need to be in credit to allow you to book a place.
