We are pleased to announce that our wraparound care provision is up and running and available to all pupils in Reception to Year 6. We can now offer a daily Before School Club and a daily After School Club.
Wraparound Care - Autumn Term 2026
Before-School Club
Before-School Club begins at 7.50am and pupils are welcome to arrive at the Club any time between 7.50am and 8.30am. The Club is an opportunity for pupils to meet with their friends, play games and relax before school begins. Whilst we do not provide a meal during the Club, pupils are welcome to bring their own breakfast to eat.
The cost of Before-School Club is £3.04 per pupil.
Pupils must arrive for Before-School Club accompanied by an adult at the front door and ring the Wraparound Care doorbell.
After-School Club
After-School Club runs every day during term time. Pupils who attend the After-School Club have a choice of activities and can attend for enrichment or for childcare purposes.
After School Club runs from the end of school until 5:30pm. You can book your child into the:
- early session from 3.15pm to 4.30pm; or
- full session from 3.15pm to 5.30pm.Collection can be any time before 5:30pm.
The cost of the early session of the After-School Club (3.15pm to 4.30pm) is £3.55 per child, which includes a snack.
The cost of the full After-School Club session (3.15pm to 5.30pm) is £7.10 per child. In addition to the snack at the beginning of the Club, pupils will also have a hot snack at 4.45pm. Pupils who pay for the whole of the afternoon can be picked up from After-School Club at any time before 5.30pm.
A 50% reduction is offered to all pupils eligible for Free School Meals.
Each day we offer an enrichment activity, such as Film Club; Magic Club; Cooking; Forest School etc. If you child does not want to take part in the Enrichment Club, there are plenty of alternative activities for them to do. Board games, reading, craft, drawing, music and Lego are all available daily.
On occasions there may be an additional cost for certain enrichment activities, such as cooking, to cover the cost of resources.
To collect your children from Wraparound Care, you should arrive at the front door and ring the Wraparound Care doorbell.
Tax-Free Childcare
The school is registered for the Government’s Tax-Free Childcare Scheme.
What is Tax-Free Childcare?
Tax-Free Childcare is a UK government initiative designed to help working parents cover childcare costs. It works through a dedicated online childcare account, where for every £8 you pay into the account, the government adds an extra £2, giving you a 25% boost. You can get up to £500 every three months per child (£2,000 a year) or £1,000 every three months (£4,000 a year) if your child is disabled. This applies to children aged 0 to 11 years.
Who is eligible for Tax-Free Childcare?
Both parents must be working (or the sole parent in a single-parent family) and earn at least the national minimum wage or living wage for 16 hours a week, with a maximum net income of £100,000.

Can I use Tax-Free Childcare Vouchers at the School?
Yes, the school is a registered provider and accepts payments for Before School Club and After School Clubs from parents using the scheme.
How do I pay for Before School Club and After School Clubs with Tax-Free Childcare?
- Create an online Tax-Free Childcare account through the UK government website.
- Sign in to your childcare account - GOV.UK and deposit funds into your account and the government will top it up according to the scheme rules.
- Once your account is funded, you can use the money to pay for wraparound care.
- Select Sir Robert Hitcham CEVAP School for Tax-Free Childcare vouchers.
- Advise the School Office that you will be paying for wraparound care with Tax-Free Childcare Vouchers. Your Arbor account will be set up for voucher payments.
- Make a payment for wraparound care.
- Once the school receives the monthly bank statement with details of your Tax-Free Childcare payment, we will ‘top up’ this amount to your Wraparound Care Account.
Please contact the School Office if you would like to pay for wraparound care with Tax-Free Childcare vouchers, so that your account can be set up in Arbor.
Late Collection from After-School Club
Any pupil collected after 4.30pm (if only booked into the early session) or 5.30pm (if booked into the full session) will incur a late fee of £5.06 per period of up to 15 minutes. This charge will be added to your child’s Arbor account.

All you need to do is complete a Wraparound Care Registration Form and Wraparound Care Terms and Conditions document and return to the School Office. Both these forms are available below or from the School Office.

Booking your Child into Wraparound Care
Please log into your child’s Arbor account to book Before-School Club or After-School Club sessions. Booking on Arbor closes 24 hours before the Club starts, if you need to book a session less than 24 hours beforehand, please contact the School Office on 01728 860201 or admin@sirroberthitcham.suffolk.sch to book a place if available. As places are limited to 20 children per session, please do ensure that you have pre-booked your child into wraparound care.
Cancelling Wraparound Care Booking
If you wish to cancel a booking, please contact the School Office giving 48 hours’ notice or you will be charged for the session. We will only offer refunds if Wraparound Care is forced to close due to snow, heating failure, staffing shortage etc.
