Wraparound Care

Premier Education is the largest children’s coaching company of its kind in the UK, delivering to over 9 million children in the last 12 months alone.

As a founding member of UK Active Kids, and the first organisation of its kind to be awarded the highly prestigious Quality in Study Support (QiSS) kite mark, Premier works closely with schools across the country to inspire children to live a healthy, fit and fun life.

Premier is pleased to announce that from September 2023 that they will be delivering wraparound care at Sir Robert Hitcham CEVAP School. Each morning parents will be able to drop children off from 7.45am in the knowledge that they will be fed a healthy breakfast and take part in a wide range of stimulating activities, which will not be too vigorous as we do not want children going into class sweaty, but they will start the day energised. It has been proven that children who take part in some physical activity or play before school are more alert and ready to learn at the start of the school day.

Our mission is to create a premium, Ofsted registered wraparound care facility, providing high quality out-of-school-hours care for the parents of children who attend the school. The before school, after school and holiday sessions will provide a range of stimulating and creative activities in a safe, secure and fun environment, providing an outstanding service for busy parents.

The before and after school care will be available every day the school is open. Holiday care will be available during school holidays throughout the year.

Parents/carers can have peace of mind knowing their children are in safe hands. All staff are fully trained in safeguarding and paediatric first aid and are all DBS checked. They are also qualified and experienced in working with children in a primary school environment.

The provision is an extension of the school day. With this in mind, it has been designed to run smoothly, whilst reflecting the school’s outstanding quality.

Our staff are trained to adapt each day based on particular children’s needs or the weather. However, the structure and timing for each day will be consistent. Activities will be designed to fit in with the schools termly theme and include arts and crafts; music; dance and drama; sports and games; cooking and technology; quiet space for reading and general free play.

Healthy snacks will be served both before and after school.

Our timetable is a well-rounded mix of activities, with an emphasis of fun and inclusion to give the children variety and to help them feel safe, comfortable and to enjoy the time they spend with us.

A clear and easy booking process has been put in place for parents/carers. Places can be booked online at www.premier-education.com and confirmation of the booking will be emailed across instantly.

Children eligible for Pupil Premium

All children, aged  currently claim Free School Meals, or who have done so in the past six years, qualify for Breakfast Club for free. This is paid for as part of our Pupil Premium funding. If your child is currently entitled to FSM, or has been entitled in the last six years, and you would like them to attend Breakfast Club, please contact the School Office who will book the required sessions.

Arrival at Breakfast Club

When you drop off your child for Breakfast Club you must ensure that you hand them over to the Premier Sports coach in the main hall, on the playground or in the dining hall.  This applies to all children using the Breakfast Club, whatever age they are.  Only by taking your child directly to the Premier Sports coaches, can you be sure that your child has arrived safely.  You are responsible for delivering your child directly to the coach.

Up until 8.30am you are welcome to drive onto the main playground so that you can drop your child off at Breakfast Club.  Please do not drop children off at the end of the School driveway or in the staff car park and expect them to take themselves safely to join the group.  Please ensure that you drive slowly onto the School premises as children may be outside.

In the morning members of staff and delivery drivers drive into the car park.  If children walk unaccompanied from the dining hall to the main building, they are at risk from these vehicles.  A child running out of the end of the main building or the porch area of the dining hall is at risk of injury as they cannot see vehicles coming and drivers cannot see them.
