After School Clubs and Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club

Premier Sport, an independent sports coaching company, runs the Breakfast Club from 7.45am to 8.45am each week day during term time.  Children start with a game or sporting activity and have a breakfast snack before being brought into school at 8.45 am.  In order to get the most from the sessions, we encourage children to arrive by 8.00am in time to participate in the activities. The sporting activities on offer depend on the weather, the number and ages of the children, and the interests of those children. The coaches vary the games over the week and children are encouraged to share their ideas and make suggestions.

Breakfast Club is run from our main hall, but on occasions the children play games outside.

Breakfast Club enables parents and carers to make the most of their day: getting an early start to work, to attend training, fit in some exercise or make appointments. For children, it is an enjoyable way to start the day with other children - having active fun. For those children who find the start of the day stressful, Breakfast Club is a calm way to ease them into the day. For some children – it motivates them to get up quickly.

The charge is £4 a day per child.  Bookings need to made by phone or online - please see below for full details.

All families who currently claim Free School Meals, or who have done so in the past six years, qualify for Breakfast Club for free. This is paid for as part of our Pupil Premium funding. If your child is currently entitled to FSM, or has been entitled in the last six years, and you would like them to attend Breakfast Club, please contact the School Office who will book the required sessions.

We strongly urge parents to make use of our Breakfast Club. Premier Sport and the School, welcome feedback on the way the Club works.

Arrival at Breakfast Club

When you drop off your child for Breakfast Club you must ensure that you hand them over to the Premier Sports coach in the main hall, on the playground or in the dining hall.  This applies to all children using the Breakfast Club, whatever age they are.  Only by taking your child directly to the Premier Sports coaches, can you be sure that your child has arrived safely.  You are responsible for delivering your child directly to the coach.

Up until 8.30am you are welcome to drive onto the main playground so that you can drop your child off at Breakfast Club.  Please do not drop children off at the end of the School driveway or in the staff car park and expect them to take themselves safely to join the group.  Please ensure that you drive slowly onto the School premises as children may be outside.

In the morning members of staff and delivery drivers drive into the car park.  If children walk unaccompanied from the dining hall to the main building, they are at risk from these vehicles.  A child running out of the end of the main building or the porch area of the dining hall is at risk of injury as they cannot see vehicles coming and drivers cannot see them.

After School Clubs

The School does not currently offer a childcare service at the end of the school day.  However, there are various after school clubs running for children with differing interests.

Bookings for clubs need to be made on the School Gateway.

  • Login to School Gateway. Select the relevant club you want to book a child into from your unique menu.
  • From the session calendar click on the sessions you would like to make bookings for.  A running total of cost will be shown if there are charges for these sessions.
  • Click Book selected sessions.  A confirmation message will appear asking you to confirm.  Click Book now to confirm your choices.
