Friends of School AGM
YOU ARE INVITED TO THE FRIENDS OF SCHOOL AGM
DATE: Thursday 19 March 2026 at 5.30pm
VENUE: Debenham Sports and Leisure Centre
Who are we?
The Friends Committee at Sir Robert Hitcham, is a group of parent, grandparent, carer and teacher volunteers who work alongside the school staff and governors to benefit the school and contribute towards providing the best educational experience for all its pupils.
What do we do?
We help raise funds for additional resources, trips, educational visitors, play and sports equipment that enhance the school environment and experience but might not be affordable within everyday school budget confinements.
We also aim to organise events outside of our fundraising agenda that will be focused purely on the children having fun! We hope these encourage pupils to take pride in their school and understand they are part of a supportive, inclusive community.
How can you help?
However small or occasional you may feel your contribution might be, we would welcome your involvement. You are not obligated to become a full committee member, and you are not required to attend regular meetings.
We would love suggestions and feedback – not just from parents and carers but also from the children.
If you would like more information about becoming a committee member, or a Friends’ helper in advance of the AGM, please feel free to contact any of the current members (listed below), the school office or email us at jennybendall@live.co.uk.
