Changes to COVID-19 Guidance
From 1 April 2022 the remaining Covid restrictions have been lifted. This means that lateral flow tests will no longer be available. As a result, there has been a change in the guidance for schools.
The new guidance states:
- If a child feels unwell and/or has a high temperature, they should stay at home and avoid contact with other people until they feel well enough to resume normal activities and they do not have a high temperature
- If a child tests positive for Covid, they should stay at home and avoid contact with other people for three days. For adults, this is five days.
In order to support our community and keep the infection rates down in school, I ask that you ensure that you do not send you child into school if they are unwell, just as you have been doing. This will support us in keeping the school open and running.
If you have any questions about this guidance, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
